New years and new beginnings are filled with good intentions but are easily overwhelmed by the expectations of life.  At times, it seems like everything is important and all important things are equal.  In the series, “First,” we will see that order is really important and we will talk about the things that matter most.  Be with us Sunday mornings at 9:00 or 10:45 for this new series about priorities.

There are so many issues in today’s world that pull at each of us on a daily basis. These events can leave us feeling drained in so many ways.

Soak will be a new Sunday night experience that Kingwood will dive into on the 3rd Sunday of each month. It will be a time to simply be with God and each other and to be refreshed in a new kind of service. If there is one Sunday night service you attend, let it be Soak. The next Soak will be this Sunday night, January 15th. We look forward to seeing you there.

Are you new to Kingwood? Just visited? Only been coming a couple of months? Well if you’re looking for the next step then its right here at the next NewComers Lunch.

Kingwood has NewComers Lunches every few weeks as a great way to get to know the people of Kingwood. Located on campus at our beautiful Cates House, lunch is provided in a relaxed atmosphere and served by the the new members of Kingwood who attended the last NewComers Lunch, so its a great way for you to get to know some of the Kingwood Church staff and others who were just where you’re at… looking to get to know new friends and find the next step at Kingwood.

So call the church office and tell them you’re new and would like to attend the next NewComers Lunch on February 12th. It is immediately following the morning services (about 12:30pm).

Are you new to Kingwood?  Have you been here a while, but you’re looking for that next step?  Well KLA is designed with you in mind.  It is a short, two-week introductory class created to help you get more acquainted with Kingwood’s “Growth Path.”  But to grow, you gotta know where that happens here, right?  And in KLA, you will discover the avenues at Kingwood Church in which you can flourish.

Mark your calendars for our GoGlobal Missions Convention on February 19. This dynamic event will highlight Kingwood’s missionary partnerships around the world.  Our focus this year will be Latin America Child Care (LACC) with founder John Bueno as our featured speaker.

An exciting part of this full-day event is our Mission Tablescapes on that Sunday evening.  Would YOU be willing to commit to the fun and rewarding opportunity of hosting a table?  Creatively decorate and sell tickets to your table of eight. Just have fun with your table or shoot for the gold as prizes go to winners in several categories, all voted by attendees of Tablescapes.

Deeper Life classes are Kingwood’s answer to the mid-week gathering.  Not just another service, it is a set of classes on a 3-week rotation, each of which represents one of the 4 goals of our church… to ENCOUNTER God, CONNECT with people, GROW in faith & ministry, and LIVE on mission.

Encounter, Connect, Grow, Live.

And since these classes change every 3 weeks, you don’t feel like your in just another “sunday school” class with a quarterly curriculum.  You come in for a few wednesday nights, and you leave having experienced biblical teaching through skilled teachers and interaction from others in an “easy to digest” atmosphere.

Celebrate Recovery is about fellowship and celebration of God´s healing power in our lives through “8 Recovery Principles.” This experience allows us to be changed. We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God´s grace in solving our lives´ problems. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others.
