Outreach
Evangelism is a focal point of Kingwood Church. We believe it is one of the primary reasons we exist. With this in mind, Kingwood actively seeks out opportunities for evangelism in the Birmingham community and abroad. We believe that the Great Commission is our first priority, but that it is also a privilege that God grants us to be able to engage in active evangelism, showing Christ's love in many ways.

Magic City Conquest Outreaches
Every Saturday volunteers from Kingwood and various other churches join the Master's Commission students in outreaches to eight of the most difficult neighborhoods in the city.
Venues include:
  • Children/youth programs and game days
  • Job Training
  • Health Clinics
  • A food pantry and clothes distribution
  • Music and dance programs
  • An annual Christmas parade
  • Evangelistic outreaches, and
  • Block pastoring and neighborhood Bible studies
Conquest School Assemblies

All of our students participate in Conquest School Assemblies throughout the year.  Conquest is a high impact, exciting presentation for both public and private schools using dance, drama, and challenging speakers.

The Conquest theme is “Conquer your fears…Live your dreams.”  What makes Conquest school assemblies so effective is the fresh perspective on making the right choices. It is bringing a preventative approach against drugs, suicide, alcohol, amidst many other detrimental choices. Conquest’s team holds a vantage point in regards to life’s issues and struggles that this world faces. Conquest holds experience at getting right on the level of its audience. Consequentially, the audience usually turns out a big response and Conquest is able to get into people’s lives and mentor and inspire.  The ministry opportunity is phenomenal!

“Red Ribbon Week” is a high point in the BMMC year.  One week of the year is devoted to doing Conquest School Assemblies in the local area.  It is not unusual for us to do 12 to 14 elementary, middle school and high school assemblies during “Red Ribbon Week”.

M.A.P.S.
"And you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and all Judea, and Samaria and to the uttermost parts of the world."-Acts 1:8
In relation to the Great Commission, if our Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria are Birmingham, Alabama and the U.S., MAPS exists to minister to those who dwell in the "uttermost parts of the earth". MAPS seeks to reach beyond our borders to find opportunities for evangelism and ministry, thus adding to the Kingdom of God on foreign soil. Those who take part in these challenging but rewarding endeavors testify that change doesn't just take place in the hearts and lives of those whom we travel to meet; it occurs in their own hearts as well.

Missions Convention
Each year we kick off our missions emphasis with a whole weekend of festivities which give us windows to the world. In this exciting series of events, we energize and mobilize as a team to pray, to give, and to go in fulfilling the Great Commission.

Visiting Heroes
The first Sunday of each month is "Missions Sunday", a day on which we host a missionary hero from the mission field. Here we are able to gain an exciting glimpse into God's activity in?another region of the world. Since we believe that missions is contagious, we know that these special visits will inspire us to get more involved in fulfilling the Great Commission!

Faith Promises
These regular gifts from our people enable the Church to provide pledge support to dozens of missionaries abroad, keeping their needs met in order that the Gospel forward in the field of their calling.

Missions Financial Partnerships
These special offerings from our people enable the Church to partner with established missionaries to plant new churches, start Bible colleges, raise up and train leaders, provide disaster assistance, and distribute the Bible in foreign lands.

Hall of Missions
As you walk through this flag-draped corridor, you will see the dozens of faces and places in which our people invest both finances and prayers.

International Coffeehouse
On Sunday and Wednesday nights, our gourmet coffeehouse is open for fellowship and to further the Great Commission. All profits raised by the teams operating the coffeehouse fund missions initiatives of the Church.
