Special Needs Respite Night

6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

A night of fun for them. A night of rest for you.

Respite Night is a special evening designed to serve families raising children with special needs. While your kids enjoy a fun night filled with activities and caring volunteers, parents and caregivers can take a few hours to rest, recharge, or simply enjoy a night off.

Children with special needs are invited to attend, and siblings in K–5th grade are welcome too!

WHAT TO EXPECT

We want every child to have a fun, welcoming night while giving parents peace of mind knowing their kids are being cared for.

Throughout the evening, kids will enjoy:

Dinner
We’ll start the night by eating together and getting settled in.

Fun Stations
Kids will rotate through fun, interactive activities and games in the gym.

Chapel
We’ll have a short, interactive chapel experience centered around our Be a Light theme.

Crafts
Before the night wraps up, kids will create something special to take home.

Drop-off begins at 6:00 PM at the Student Center, and pick-up is at 9:00 PM. Parents will receive a security sticker at check-in that must be presented at pick-up.

WANT TO HELP MAKE RESPITE NIGHT POSSIBLE?

Give a family the gift of rest.

Respite Night is made possible by volunteers who help create a safe, welcoming, and fun experience for children with special needs and their siblings.

By serving, you’re doing more than helping with an event—you’re giving parents and caregivers in our community the opportunity to rest and recharge, knowing their children are being loved and cared for.

We’d love for you to be part of the team!

Please note: An electronic criminal background check is required for all volunteers age 18+.
